For how much should I sell my antique hutch?
I've got a beautiful, solidly-made hutch by Thomasville, which it is stamped 1969. I've got someone who wants to buy it, but I'm not sure how to know what it's worth. It's in excellent condition with no broken parts, and it has all it's original hardware. Does anyone know an approximate amount or where I can find out?

Based on what I have seen on the Internet and knowing what your hutch looks like, I'd say between $400-$700.

contact a local antique dealer that has been in business a long time and ask for a method to authenticate the history of the piece. if it can be authenticated, it would then be auctioned off by an auction house and probably get a fairly good price. If it can't be authenticated, take it around to a number of different antique dealers and get estimates for what they would be able to sell it for on consignment, vs what it might get at auction.

Look on www.craigslist.com or ebay. A great many baby boomers are down sizing and hutches are a "dime-a-dozen".
You will be lucky to get 20% of original price in todays market. 1869 is antique, not 1969. Take any offer you get. Don't pay for shipping, if you can avoid it.
