In "hot again / cold again" relationships, is the end result usually "cold again for good"?

    there's nothin' cold as ashes

    after the fire is gone.

though a good number of couples seem to get by on tepid.

Usually. I mean, yeah, the drama and passion can surely be fun, but ultimately, it's not sustainable and one of you will get sick of it, if not both. I'm not saying you should be in a relationship that's on an even keel all the time, and certainly if you're a certain age the drama is all the fun, but ultimately, you'll want something more stable.

Yes!! That is unless the couple works very hard (including things like Couples' Counseling...Anger Management, etc.) to make it work.

In those hot again / cold again relationships, normally someone is cheating, someone is super-jealous, there are severe money problems, or there is abuse (at least emotional abuse). These things don't fix themselves. A therapist is in order...and if one doesn't work...get to another one.

I believe so. The ones that are constantly breaking up and getting back together don't make it in the end, it seems to me. usually they have been "over" for quite some time but both are afraid to leave the comfort of each other and move on already.

I feel bad for you girl. And I completely understand. That can get very annoying. Like who does he think he is. He wants the best of both worlds.i cant answer your question directly because i just dont understand the guy and his actions but I can understand what I am getting out it. You might want to get out of this relationship. Now.
