My friend really likes writing these stories, and keeps asking for my opinion. What do I tell her?
My friend likes to write stories, which is great! I do it too! But -- hers --- ugh. They're REALLY boring! And they're all the same just with different names and a little difference here and there. The dialog is really crappy/cheesy. And personally--it doesn't make much sense.
It's ALWAYS about a guy liking a girl (or the girl liking the guy) and they're just best friends then find them selves falling in love with each other, and while that is going on the girl's mom/dad is in the hospital with some kind of disease.
And she keeps asking for my opinion and Idk what to tell her! It frustrates me.
Should I tell her that her story sucks? Or should I be nice and tell her good job?

tell her you love her and you find the story a little bit boring.
i don*t find it boring at all, because it tells a lot about her psyche...
she has a romantic idea about falling in love with someone who is familiar, with whom she feels comfortable, she is afraid of being cheated and thinks with someone she already knows it would be a fulfilling, trustful love forever. she seems to feel uncomfortable with her parents, maybe she is even scared, or she is not allowed to have a boyfriend, because they are out of her romantic story, they don*t seem to have any place in her life when it comes to love, trust, being as she is...
hey, lot of interpretation here...
ask her how she gets her ideas, what is the meaning behind the story, maybe she tries to tell something with the story... the truth behind the story cannot be boring at all. mind stuff, ideas, concepts are boring... but not her true feelings. talk with her about her true feelings, that is alive, fresh, new.

First of all: it seems clear that this is your work. You're already on the internet, why try to go for even MORE anonymity by pretending it was written by someone else? Second: you need to fix the spelling errors. You can type with poor spelling and grammar online, but if you're writing prose you'd best be sure your spelling and grammar are top notch. Third: teen drama stories about your life (or even a made-up life) are rarely interesting unless something IMPORTANT happens. Parties are not important. Getting drunk is not important. If you're writing a realistic story about teens, you'd best have something moving. Fourth: you can't be so sensitive about your writing. When you submit to magazines, they will simply reply with a "No." These critiques WILL help you out.

Tell her they're good but they could be improved, offer to get together and help her work on another idea like a fantasy or a diffrent type of story, even work on one together.

It should not matter to her if you like the story or not, if you tell her you don't like the story then she will understand (or should). You could have a totally different opinion than the person who is typing this answer (that could be me). I might liker her stories so she shouldn't get discouraged if you tell her you don't like the story.

i think for now, don't say anything. just be proud of her for trying her hardest. maybe suggest some different story ideas. try doing a round robin story with her, like you start the story, and she writes part, and then you write part, etc. This may help her be inspired creatively. If she tries to be more serious with them though, like trying to get them published or something, then talk to her.

Tell her the truth. You are the reader and she should respect your opinions. She may not change, but you gave her feedback and that's all you could do. Tell her lightly what you think of the stories so you don't ruin your friendship. Good luck!

Since she is asking for your opinion- tell her the truth in a nice way. She is trusting you to give her advice!

give her good criticism... so in words tell her she sucks in a nice way... maybe give her some hints on how to improve, if you are good friends and your friendship will last, you don't want to hurt her feelings and you don't want to keep reading something boring.... so maybe she can improve?

Just give her some productive ciriticism.

be honest, and tell her EXACTLY what you just said, this will be good reenforcement and she could reach her true potential in writing.
