How do I stop my male dog from mating my female dog without getting him fixed?
My female dog is coming in heat, so I need to know how to stop them from breeding each other without having to get one of them fixxed! Please answer ASAP!
And the reason I don't want to get them fixed is because we're planning on Breeding are Doberman(Female)
and we're also planning on breeding are Pitbull(Male)
But we're going to breed them with their own kind.
p.s the reason why im posting this again is because everyone kept on asking "why dont you get them fixed?" and not even answering my question ( sorry to the people who did answer my question)

Separate them now, and trust me baby gates, door gates will not stop the breeding, that male will hop right over those things like they are not even there....
you must keep them far apart while she is in heat, don't even let them close to each other, or you will have alot of unexpected puppies fast.
she must be taken out on her own walks, and on a leash, do not let them eat, or anything together....
now, if you are gonna breed these dogs later on in their life with their own breeds, be sure you have them tested, all shots, wormed and both these dogs need to be on Heart-guard Plus for heart-worms and hook worms, for their entire life, this will also ensure the dogs are healthy heart wise...be sure both are wormed and all shots up to date at least 30 days before breeding....
and remember the female or male neither should be bred till at least 18-24 mos, preferably 24 mos for both, this will also ensure the dog is fully developed and can handle the breeding's
good luck
Breeder/show/handler 15 yrs......
are you planning on breeding to just sell pups, or are both of these dogs champions...and is the breeding to improve the breed and to show them or produce show quality pups, if not, then get both fixed.......and don't add to the millions of unwanted dogs already in shelters.

Keep the female at home with you while she is in heat. The male has to taken to a different location ... either a boarding kennel or a friends house. Otherwise, they will find a way to breed. Good luck.

You plan on breeding but don't even know this? Breeding is complicated costly time consuming and hard at the best of times when done properly, having had professional kennels built may help a bit but seriously, I cannot blame people for flaming you before.
.......did you not actually think of this before you got a male and a female of different breeds you didn't plan on breeding together??

Keep them seperated until the female is no longer in heat. It's the only way to keep them from mating. If you aren't going to have them spayed and neutered, then you will have to keep the seperated.

WOW.
First of all seperate them. Keep them seperated.
When the female is in heat keep the male away from her until she is fully out of heat. that is every six months for about 10 days when she stops bleeding. (to be safe) Then keep them from mating. You dont want them to mate. Keep them apart when the female is in HEAT... once she stops bleeding for about 10 days. better yet keep them seperated when she is in heat. just to be safe. for the full 23 days.

Keep them seperated from each other. Short of getting one of them neutured this is truly the only way to stop them from mating with each other.

Well...
I have seen these dog diaper/nappy type things.
It stops the female producing a smell or something....
Unfortunatley she'll lose all of her dignity xD.
I've also seen a morning after pill for dogs.
But you have to give it within two days of you catching them in the act.
Anyway, good luck with your breeding!

oh so you plan on makeing your own little puppy mill?
just get them fixed and get over not breeding..we dont need more dead dogs on the side of the road or in shelters anyway.
