I had a tattoo done on my wrist yesterday. Would it be OK to cover it with tegaderm so it won't get infected?

Update:

Tegaderm is a breathable waterproof coverage, like a second skin. Very light and thin, it sticks to the skin and acts as a bacteria barrier.

You shouldnt cover it again. its best to let the air heal it, along with putting on the right lotions.

If you are going to work, or somewhere where it is DIRTY you could probably put it on temporarily, but unless you absolutely need to I wouldnt. Let it breathe as much as possible

The best thing to use is saline solution (usually sold as a natural sea salt spray)

try tattoo goo or H2O ocean. They are both good tattoo ointments and I have used both and have nothing but great compliments.

if it has a scent then u shouldnt use it, also if u put it on dont load it down, that will also pull ink. just enough to make it moisturized
