I just was laid off from my job what is the next step to do?

First of all, don't panic. Secondly, call your creditors and inform them of what happened. Sometimes, they may let you skip a payment so you can get on your feet. Third, apply for unemployment. There may be some work you can do for a small company while you look for something else. Finally, talk to your family and perhaps they know of some jobs you can apply for. Most importantly, keep your spirits up. This economy is really screwed up and I will pray for you so that you find something soon.

Most important, be positive, think over why you get laid off.

If you have financial difficulties, start looking for new job in the same field asap; otherwise, work out what you really want to do, where your strength and weakness are and set a goal for yourself. Get help from anyone you trust, or post questions in this forum.
