How many agree?

that I have a point because I look at records with a grain of salt in baseball that ocurred before 1947 when Jackie Robinson integrated MLB?

    Oh, no doubt you are right. I totally agree. In fact, I use 1959 as the year because that is the year that the last team in MLB integrated. No doubt that Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson and Cool Papa Bell and many others would have changed the game a lot. Of course, the records that exist are still records because just as the steroid scandal tarnishes the innocent along with the guilty, the players back then -- although quite a few were rampant racists -- nevertheless did not create the system they played in. And that is the system we have left to deal with.
