How many homers?

would Aaron have hit had he not played in Atlanta-Fulton County[known as "The Launching Pad"], a distinct advantage.

Update:

THE HIGH ELEVATION LED TO MORE HRS JUST LIKE IN COLORADO - PLUS AFTER HIS '73 SEASON IN WHICH DAVEY JONHSON HIT 43 HRS - HE NEVER HIT MORE THAN 20 HRS IN HIS CAREER

Update 2:

THE POINT IS AS HE GOT OLDER WOULD HE HAD HIT 40 HRS IF HE WERE NOT PLAYING IN THE LAUNCHING PAD

or Willie Stargell, who have to play in Forbes Field, a baseball park so big there never was a no hitter thrown there, even though it was in use from 1909-1970

Hank Aaron only had as many as 47 HRs once in his career.

He hit 40+ HRs in Milwaukee four times, and 40 or more HRs in Atlanta four times. I don't think Fulton County Stadium was much of an advantage for him at all.

The man was a quality ballplayer, a steady performer who played for more than 20 years, and thats what got him the record.

While i don't think stadiums are to blame for him holding the record, he probably would be 10 less 755 in another.

Acually he almost was picked up by the Giants. If he and Willie Mys were together, neither would have as many HR but the team would've been better

I don't know. Josh Gibson could have a lot more, he hit over 800 homers. BEST POWER HITTER OF ALL TIME!

    588...if he played in Philadelphia

Source(s): i just spend about 30 minutes using bill james' stuff to calculate his home run total and it came out as 587.6811
