How many more?

homers would Mantle have hit plus how much different would his career statatists be if he would have kept his body in better shape or would have be more injury free[like Mays, Aaron or F. Robinson]?

MANTLE WAS VERY MUSCULAR, NUMEROUR MUSCLE PULLS - PLUS HIS LIVE A PARTY LIFE, HE WAS NOT IN SHAPE

    smitty i think mantle could have hit a lot more....ill give him 75 more.

    Good question and one that lingers long after the Mick has been gone. It's hard to tell, but certainly quite a few more.

    Mantle always said that he lost about 10 home runs a year to the big centerfield in Yankee stadium (which would include left-center as well). At the time, the Cincinnati Reds played in Crosly, which had a centerfield of less than 400 ft. Had Mantle played there (and this is his scenario, by the way) he would have had 10 more homers a year. 18 years, 536 HRs + 180 = 716 HRs. Interesting, huh.

    Its hard to say, maybe 100 more, which would have given him 636.
