What do you think about the Fox DH Rampage Helmet?

Or, is there a better choice.

Update:

The helmet is for a young friend (soon 13). What equipment would you suggest? He and his buddies are true daredevils.

Are you going to wear it to ride that Trek? That's kind of a dis-connect... DH helmets are for serious downhill racing, and that $300 Trek is for casual neighborhood cruising... not at all suitable for DH riding.

    Otherwise, it's a fine helmet.

    Hey Beach,

I use the GIRO Remedy CF for DH riding, but there are other great helmets like the 661 Bravo Carbon and the Troy Lee D2 Carbon. The FOX Rampage is a slick helmet also. I recommend trying on the helmets to see which fits the best. Helmets from different manufactures all fit and feel different. I tried on several helmets, until I found that the GIRO Remedy fit the best for me. I like the Carbon helmets, because they seem to be a lot lighter and absorb vibration. That is just my opinion. Good luck!
