Advice for torn-off tampon?

Okay, here's my situation. I put a tampon in after my shower tonight. After dinner and before bed I went to change it. When I took it out there was a chunk missing from the top, you can see where the cotton fabric is torn away, and I can feel the little piece still inside. I tried using a douche and relaxing (and the sitting on the toilet, sweeping thing that is excellent advice online) with no success.

I know that stressing about this isn't going to help, however it's really in my nature to stress and there's a fair amount of anxiety right now because we're in the middle of moving. I've taken a muscle relaxant to see if that can help.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm 35, not a virgin, and been using tampons since I was 18.

Thanks!

ok.. i know this is going to sound odd but it'll work...

you have to be REALLY relaxed to do this.. you will also need to squat over a mirror, and use the fingers in one of your hands as padding.

Use a pair of eyebrow tweasers.. but you need to be really careful so you dont hurt yourself, press your fingers inside of you so you you dont scrape the walls and the tweasers press against your fingers instead...

It should work... but be careful.

Iv had to do it before too.

Tampons cannot get lost in the vagina. Sweep the fingers back and forth and try to feel the cord or tampon itself. Once you feel the tampon/cord, grasp it and pull it out. If you cannot find the tampon you will have to see a doctor. It is important that you get the tampon out as soon as you can. No tampon should be left in your vagina for more than 8 hours. Hope this helps, Your BEINGgirl Experts

That sucks. But if you can, just reach up there with two fingers and try to get it out. Or, if you've got a husband or boyfriend who is really accommodating and not easily grossed out.....or just go to your obgyn.

Well i suggest you to go to the ob/gyn, trust me they dealt with this kind of thing before.

i actually had somewhat similar problem, and couldn't get it out myself, so i went to ob/gyn i was embarassed as hell but nurses told me this kind of thing happens quite often
