it seems in everything beyonce is the leader eg.destiny's child,she was always the one who sang most of the lyrics of the song.plus maybe b'cos she is more famous the producer thought she'll catch more attention.i think jennifer hudson would have been a great leadbut who cares afterall she got the award

No, the story was about the rise of the Dreamgirls. It was based on the story of the Supremes with Diana Ross. She was the main character and Beyonce played her. The Hudson character left the group and dropped out of showbiz for many years and then died.
