Poll: How long is your shift at work and do your shifts rotate?

I am up at 5:30 AM M-F to get ready, get my kids ready and fed and walk the 2 mile round-trip to school and back. I take care of my youngest, do housework and sneak in a few questions and answers here and there until 2:30. I then walk back to school, pick up my oldest, come back home and play with the kids until about 5:00 or so. Then I get to make dinner, eat and clean up once again. My work day usually ends at around 8:30 or 9:00 PM when they are tucked snugly into their beds. Sat. & Sun. are the same sans the school, and I do get to sleep until at least 8:00 AM.

I work 12 hour shifts except Tuesdays, that's only 8 hours, and I only work 14 days a month. My schedule is as follows

Week one: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun

Week two: Wed, Thurs

Lately I have been working 8am until about 7pm Monday through Friday but I am on call 24/7 for emrgency situations as well. Which do happen a lot. Long days when you add being a single mom to the mix.

I used to work ...

4pm to 8am Monday to Tuesday

4pm to 8am Friday to Saturday

12am to 8am Sunday

Confusing I know .... So basically I worked from Friday to Tuesday

I used to clean houses too I usually did that from 1pm to 3pm Tuesday, then 10am to 3pm Wednesday and Thursday. I had between 3-8 clients at a time ... Then I got to come home and play Mommy and foster mommy to Chihuahuas

I prefer stick shift, but sadly I drive an Automatic.

The office is only open 8-5 Monday - Friday and that is what I work.

M-F 9:30am-5pm... usually about 35 hours a week. That's just my "pay the bills" job... that's not taking into account the rest of the jobs I do..

8-3:30 Monday-Friday.

I'm off all next week b/c of Spring Break. I'm a teacher.
