Anything so long as they're not a squib. :P No just kidding I'll answer truthfully. (out of character that is :P)

I really can't believe that, most people you asked in real life answered no. That's fairly disturbing, it makes you wonder if they would abandon their kid, if it had a real birth anomaly. Although they might be horrified by the thought as a hypothetical question, but in reality they might not find it so easy to give him/her up. As for me, of course I would keep it, I do want to be a better parent then my father was, so running away at the first sign of unusual circumstances the might present unique problems, would be hypocritical. Plus, why would I reject, the girl who'll bring tap dancing back into style, or the boy who'll win the FIFA world cup. :P

Yeah, of course I would. How could a mother abandon their child JUST because it has a deformity!

Who knows, this child might be the next olympic gold medalist for cross country. I mean, run with two legs at a time, when they get sore, switch over! Haha.

But no, really, I would keep my child, no matter what deformity. You know when you get pregnent that their is a chance of having a deformed baby. If you don't want to live with that chance, don't get pregnent! Adopt! If I had children, I would also adopt a kid with a deformity (whether it be physical or mental, it doesn't matter). I'm not going to fell out the list with "Please give me a deformed kid" but they ask things like:

Would you take a caucasion baby?

Would you take an african american baby?

Would you take an oriental baby?

Would you take a (other ethnicity) baby?

Would you take a mentally ill child?

Would you take a physically handicapped child?

All my answers would be yes.

Source(s): ps. OWW what a painful BIRTH! Lets just REALLY hope this baby comes out head first, even then, that would still be painful!

If I gave birth to an 8 legged baby and I was able to care for it, I would. That being said, I'd look into surgical options to see if the extraneous limbs could be removed safely. Basically, I'd get a doctors opinion. A lot of doctors. If it could safely have the extra 6 legs removed, who wouldn't? The child would get called horrible names (spider and octopus come to mind).

Oh course! Who cares if it has 8 legs- it doesn't make him less of a person because of that. Everyone has quirks and the baby's 8 legs happens to be its quirk.

Even though I don't know how I would get through his temper tantrums when he's a child....

I would. No matter what it looked like or what was wrong with it. It's not about "eww that's gross", it's about that this little thing is a living being, and it needs a chance, just like everyone else does. It's not their fault how they were born. And people who say no, how would you feel if it was you? Being abandoned because of something that was out of your control. I'm sure there would be reconstructive surgery available, but even if there wasn't, my answer remains the same, of course i would look after it.

It would basically be and octo-baby. And besides anything that was mine and was born with a deformity I would keep it anyways. I'm sure the baby wouldn't want to be killed just for being different. Life is life, not a choice based on looks.

You need not to take care of eight legged baby, many organisations will come forward to take care of such wonder. Any way every one has the responsibility to take care of their own baby, no one can deny.

Yes!! That would be awesome! Haha, but regardless of what my child looked like, I would raise it and love it all the same.
