Long Distance Texting?

Normally when I text it takes a few seconds for another person to get the message, but I'm on vacation, and it seems to be taking longer for people to receive the text...What's wrong?

Distance shouldn't make a difference. But, i would ask your carrier. You would have a definite answer then.

It can be from heavy loads on the cell phone provider. Similar things happen during New Years, where tons of people text in a short period of time, causing a big lag between the send time and the receive time.

Try again tomorrow, and see if it is still delayed. If it is, then you should call up your provider.
