ARE YOU KIDDING YOU ASK THIS WITH OUT ANY REFERENCE AS TO LOCATION OR CLIMATE

What country do you live in ,

    I grow

    Banana .Papaya,Mango ,Guañabana.

Coconut palms are not a good idea although they give a high shade( because falling coconuts can kill people)

around the office and next to the wall i like the giant red ginger

they are tall and prolific and hide the wall

Vines with red leaves absorb the most heat

have these on trellises around the building.

But each place is different you have to be specific.

u will have to plant not one but a few of them

1st would plants that would grow fast even though they may not give more shade.

2nd would be plants that are good for health like NEEM, Basil which is very good for health and keeps mosquitoes away.

    3. These are plants that are having big leaf and are generally slow growing.

Now for cooling requirement, u should extend the area beyound ur boundry to grow plants, so the earth receives less heat and ur purpose is served.

PLANT IN UR NEIGHBOUR TERRITORY ALSO WITH THEIR CONSENT IT WILL HELP U AND THEM

AFTER U HAVE DONE U CAN REQUEST UR NEIGHBOUR TO EXTEND TO THEIR NEIGHBOUR IN ALL THE 4 DIRECTIONS

iN A SHORT TIME THE FULL AREA WILL BE COOL AND ALSO GOOD FOR THE GLOBAL WARMING.
