what if mccain had been going to kkk meetings for the last 20 years, would the talk be different, i think so?

We don`t know, really, who this guy is. We have to kind of piece it together, not only by what he says in the present, but what he has done in the past. Who is Barack Obama? Who has built his foundation?

So what did Barack do in the last 20 years? Well, he`s -- one thing, sat in one of the pews of the Trinity United Church of Christ and listened to Reverend Wright`s sermons. He says he counts Wright as a member of his family and his senior spiritual adviser. OK. If that`s true, then I think it`s fair that we find out who Wright is and what he believes.

In the talking points page of the Trinity church`s Web site, Reverend Wright, in his own words, states that the foundation of his beliefs are in systemized black liberation theology and praises James Cone`s book, "Black Power and Black Theology." This is what James Cone, the man who Obama`s senior spiritual advisor looks up to and whose ideas he preaches, states as black liberation theology. Listen carefully and please follow along.

Quote, "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill gods who do not belong to the black community. Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in black power which is the power of black people to destroy their opinion pressers here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."

Wow, America, here is what you need to know tonight. The man who wrote those words contributed to the foundation of Reverend Jeremiah Wright`s ministry. Barack Obama has been Fed a steady diet of those teachings for 20 years. He sat in the pew every Sunday, soaking it in. He never denounced or rejected the Reverend`s beliefs until it was politically advantageous.

So do we believe 20 years of evidence or a 20-minute speech? Forget about me. I want to ask you the question: is this the kind of man you want to have access to the most powerful man on earth?

Destruction of the white enemy? Nice. Very "Christian" --NOT. So what was Cone smoking when he wrote this?

So how black do you have to be, how white do you have to be, to be on one side or the other? What about the 50/50 mixed kids? How about Asians and non-black Latinos? Do they just sit on the sidelines, or if they don't start worshiping "blackness," they are destroyed along with the whites?

    Source(s): Cone's theology is satanic.

Remember the KKK peaches hate as a core message, while Senator Obamas former church does not they did not say White people should be killed, hung, lynched the Media just took 3 or 4 comments that were controversial and blew them out of proportion, the senator even admitted he had not heard those statements in the 20 years he attended the church as well as others that have been to the church which indicates that is not the consistent message of the church. So really there is no comparison to the Klan. But to answer your question, if the KKK donated over a million dollar to aids research, created job programs for the underprivileged, provided affordable housing for senior citizens, and provided day care for poor families and that was the part of the reason for the affiliation I would consider voting for them. Since McCain is endorsed by the KKK and has not renounced it do you consider him a racist. I bet the answer is no.

It is a fallacy to compare Wright's church to the KKK and it inflames people unnecessarily. No group from that church ever rode in mask under the cover of darkness to threaten and harm blacks, Catholics or Jews. Many people still remember the real harm that the KKK did and the terror they instilled.

They are not any longer a threat because society has marginalized them as the hate-filled bigots and outlaws that they are and the authorities monitor them carefully.

The REAL PROBLEM with Wright's church is that the congregation has marginalized itself with their beliefs in CONSPIRACY theories that are outside the mainstream beliefs of most of America.

Ordinarily, the media would treat beliefs such as the US government causing AIDS to kill blacks as the rantings of uneducated people unwilling to believe scientific evidence or of a group of paranoids.

Instead, they're deflecting attention away from the real problems and treating this as a political issue of race.

Barack Obama has been a member of a church for 20 years that believes and cheers CONSPIRACY theories centered on the belief that white people continue to be the cause of the problems that afflict black people.

It's all a CONSPIRACY centered in the power of the Federal government that he seeks to lead as president.

It really doesn't matter if it's Wright or another preacher who spews the hatred of the government.

Or if it's Obama who cleans it up for mass audiences on the campaign trail.

Obama's followers believe as deeply as the people in that church.

    The message is the same.

The federal government, currently led by George W. Bush, is the Great Satan, who kills people, and enslaves. It is a CONSPIRACY. They've done it before, they're doing it now, and they will keep doing it.

Unless we CHANGE things. WE are the only HOPE.

    We must end the conspiracy.

I can't believe you have the audacity to compare Rev. Wright's Church to the KKK. I beseech you sir to do some research on this organization. Then really compare it the Reverend's church. I don't recall the church hating Jew, African Americans, Catholics, homosexuals and lynching/murdering thousands of people? If you come up with this information the church has done this. I will be happy to denounce and reject not only that Church but Senator Obama as well.

McCain would have been thrown to the wolves and would have to give up his Senate seat for sure.

Obama gets a free pass cause of the color of his skin. If he was white, he would be out like John Edwards.

Thanks for the quote. very interesting. Does not sound like a "Christian Church". Ive been saying that all along. The believe in God when it is convenient.

Obama sat there for 20 years, not 2 hours. 20 years, no wonder his wife isn't proud of America, till now. I'm wondering how long she has been a member. She grew up in that area, and she wrote about the same things in college.

If Hillary or McCain were associated to a KKK member--all hell would break loose. I do not understand why a black person can down another race and get away with it. This is 2008---What happened 20+ years ago, is over!!!! No race should be able to and have the right to down another race--be it white, Latino, Asian or other!!!! We should all be accountable for race slander!!!!

H e would have been dishonorably discharged from the U S Navy, white folks not allowed to be memebers of radical racist groups like Obama alowed to. Bye the bye, KKK is a Police Organization set up and started by the Democrat Party and McCain is a Rep so he would not be allowed to be a member

So Obama listens to Wright, and Wright listens to Cone, and Cone listens to some other guy, and this other guy listens to some other guy... and Obama is a racist because that last guy was too!

    There`s no logic there.

You could say that Clinton listens to some preacher, that preacher listens to Jerry Falwell, and Jerry Falwell listens to some KKK guy, etc. and therefore Clinton is a racist and lynches people!

Now do you hold Bill Oreilly, or Shawn Hannity and Jon Mccain to the same standard that you hold Obama?

Who cares where he goes for meetings? I care about John McCain, since no one else's name is on the ballot.
