How do you feel about the 'break up text message' ?
I find it to be even more cowardly than email/phone message....

If you kissed him or been out w/him for more than a total of 6 hours (can be split between 2 dates), the text is not ok. Sorry.
Why not give him a break-up Sing-O-Gram where a person (dressed in an outfit of your choosing) sings to the person that you aren't interested?

Anything other than in person is cowardly and stupid. I find anything in text (text message/email/im) to be lower than phone, though phone is definitley bad. If you have the guts to do it in the first place then have the guts and respect to do it in person. Anything else is a sign of probably many that you are not mature enough to be in a relationship in the first place.

Yep, cowardly and rude. The person who uses phone/email/text/aim etc. to break up earns the right to be made fun of forever.

I agree with you totally.
If your gonna break up have the guts to do it face to face. It's just cowardly to do it over the phone or email or text message OR post it! (I got the post-it one from one episode in Sex and the City, hehe)

The text-message-break-up is the WORST possible way to go! That would make me feel so crappy and just like I want revenge! And if you do ever feel like breaking up with anyone do not do it over text, email, or instant messaging thats just shallow and rude!

Absolutely cowardly.

Never happened to me since I only date adults but I would be very insulted if someone broke up with me that way.
I always break up in person. The only time I'd break up over the phone or computer would be if it were a long distance relationship.

Extremely rude and cowardly. BRKNG UP W/U SRY. Can you add some more emotion, robot? Thankfully, I have never been broken up with by text message.

Very rude. Prefer face to face and def not through a friend. Texts leave out the closure and walking away aspect I think.

Very Cowardly. Only recommend it if the person you are breaking up with has violent tendencies and it would not be safe to say face-to-face. Other than that, I do not recommend it.
