Adrian Sutil!?!?

To me, this guy is out of his depth as a Formula One driver. Where did all this hype come from pre-season and why oh why was he even considered for a McLaren seat by the press?? He clearly can't handle the car without TC, and is being shown up by Fisi.

Do you think he deserves a place in F1?

Update:

btw Andy... F1 cars do not reach 280 mph... and I'm comparing Sutil to other racing drivers... drivers who are proving themselves much more adept at driving an F1 car than him...

Update 2:

btw Andy... F1 cars do not reach 280 mph... and I'm comparing Sutil to other racing drivers... drivers who are proving themselves much more adept at driving an F1 car than him... What I'm really implying is that there are some talented drivers around... including the Force India test driver Liuzzi, who I believe could handle the car much better than Sutil

Update 3:

Some names to come to mind include...

Di Grassi

Liuzzi

Premat

Jani

Bruno Senna

Update 4:

I'm not anti-Sutil... I am saying that I do not think he can cut it without TC atm... And I don't understand all the hype around him pre-season, with no proof to back it up..

I think he isn't impressive. He's like one of those back-grid drivers that isn't noticeable or special enough to be singled out. However, when Christijan Albers was his teammate, he actually outdid him several times and that didn't look too good for Albers because he was more experienced than Sutil.

Sutil may seem pointless in the sport right now, but give him time. Some drivers take time to shine.

I haven't been paying much attention to Sutil to be honest, but driving a bad car and wanting to go fast is always tricky.

I think it was Martin Brundle who said (about Massa at Malaysia) "It's a case of ambition getting the better of adhesion" - Sutil is young ambitious and trying hard - nothing wrong with that.

Driving a bad car and being resigned to the fact that it is a bad car and finishing the race is the main aim - sounds like how Fisi is approaching the year.

Does he deserve a place in F1? Well, someone has to drive a backmarking car, it might as well be someone like Sutil and not Kimi or Lewis. It's just interesting to see how he copes and develops and if he will make it in F1.

I don't think this is a fair question. For the record, I am neither pro nor anti-Adrian Sutil, but obviously you are anti-Sutil. I do think that two races into a season, one cannot LOGICALLY draw conclusions about anything or anyone. By the end of the season, if you ask the same question, things might be different.

sutil is an amazing driver people under estimate the value of drivers and what they go through.

if you tryied to drive without traction at over 280mph then maybe you wud spin off a few times. also teh tension and teh force india car isn't as good as the rest.

fishicella has drove without traction control before this is teh first time for Sutil.

think he is bad there use to be a bloke called Ricardo Rosset who in his 27 starts didn't score a single point and missed qualifying at the Australian GP by being over 10 seconds from pole position (admittedly a bad car), also didn't qualify a tyrrell 3(?) times in his final season........ on his day (rare) i think Adrian Sutil is quite good, he did score 1 pt last season........

It's not fair to judge him after just 2 races. We didn't get to see much of him. He was doing quite all right last year. After a few more races,if he still loses the car then we can probably say that he's not very good after all

He may not be the best driver without traction control but you have to think about the cars i mean the higher teams have the money to do more research and stuff to compensate for the loss of traction control.

this is because people thought he was gd talented driver when there was traction control but because there is no traction control now we r seein a different side 2 drivers

as they say sorts the men from the boys or sorts the talented to the not so talented
