My daughter has furnace problems?

4 times since my daughter had her gas furnace cleaned it goes off. No heat... The people that cleaned it have been there and replaced various parts, but 2 weeks later it stops again. They tell her that some type of dirt is found in what ever gets plugged. She lives in a condo and no one else has a problem. Does any one know or had this happen. She is pulling her hair out over this!!!The furnace is 3 years old.

Time for a different HVAC company. It's not good when they shoot guesses at what is wrong. Any competent service company can check it out and determine what the real problem is and fix it instead of replacing parts until they get lucky and guess the right part. As a licensed HVACR tech myself, I would refrain from shooting wild guesses as to what the problem with the heater is. It does kind of point the finger toward the company that "cleaned' the system as perhaps pushing dirt into a location which causes the failures. There could be dirt affecting the pilot light, the thermocouple, rollout switch, burner, gas valve, too much to guess without an inspection.

I don't really know, but this happened to me. The duct cleaning people use a hose to blast air from each room vent and cold air register. The dirt is forced down into the bottom of the furnace unit below the flames. Then they vacuum out this part

    and get the dirt.

The motor smelled like burning dust. Then it stopped. The dirt that was to be vacummed out was left on the top of the motor. I had to replace it.

THis may sound extreme, but call the fire department -- not on the emergency line! - and ask some safety questions.

I am thinking about gas leaks or carbon monoxide poisoning.

Til she gets the thing fixed properly, it may be more than just being cold she's worried about!
