Just move on. She is not in your future. He may not be tied to your future either. This is life. Things happen. It ma not be what you were looking for to happen. It may be for the best. At least you will have learned something from it.

Confront him about it. That is the only way. However, I doubt it will make a difference - ask him about how it came about? How did they get together, ect?
If she doesn't like you, him breaking up with her will be of no use to either of you. I understand it is hard but think about it this way: at least your best friend is happy? Maybe he didn't tell you because he was afraid he would hurt your feelings.
