How do the majority of people feel about the Real ID card?

How do you feel about the big push for the Real ID card and you cannot board a plane without one.

"PHOENIX — Arizona residents may find themselves unable to use their state driver's licenses to board airplanes as soon as May 11."

For years and years I've been seeing this being shown in the media as such a great new thing. Even a tv evangelist saying he wants an ID implanted into his arm (riiighhht). A cartoon for kids making tracking devices seem like the norm. News coverage of a missing old lady in an airport then the next story about RFID chips (that was in 2002)

There are all of these gateway attempts to make people numbed down to the idea using fast service, convenience, passports etc..

Do we no longer have the right to say no?

aww look at you making excuses already... here's a bit of Mou's guidance for RM Mourinho's 10 commandments for el Clasico 1. Don't give up a goal. Or at least not in the first half. 2. Let the fans make the Bernabeu Stadium hard for Barca. 3. Don't worry about the referee. But be careful about picking up cards. 4. Take advantage of Real's aerial superiority. 5. Don't lose sight of the ball for an instant. 6. Shut down the space Barca players have and pass on the marking. 7. Intensity, Pressure, Verticality and lots of rhythm. 8. Work hard to tire out Barca. 9. Concentration and coordination of movements. 10. Believe in yourself. Don't be anxious. edit - lol, no excuses, then you make excuses. oh the irony!!!!

The majority of people don't know what Real ID is. The majority of people couldn't tell you who their congressperson is. The majority of people don't vote. The majority of people didn't go to college.

And apparently, the majority of people think that we should be willing to give up all of our rights as long as the government will protect us from scary brown men. It's kind of funny that the same people usually are dead-set against socialized medicine because they say government can't be trusted to administer such a program effectively.

As for me, I'm hoping the law gets beaten back by the states. Now that California is fighting back, maybe something will come of it.

Why don't we just implant chips in the back of everyone's neck for their "safety"? So many people have been castrated of their ability to think logically and with common sense. I wonder how smoothly this "Real ID card" BS (or something comparable to it, in those times) would go 100 years ago in the US. No one who understands what principles and philosophies the US was built on would agree to something like that.

Thats not an rfid chip thats an actual chip. It's used for scaning into things. All it has is biographical info on it. I have studied this extensivly. My mom has one on her military id. They are nothing to be worried about.

Besides, if it were an rfid chip it would only be passive and short range. You cannot access rfid chips from satalites or long range. rfid chips dont even really store data, not like a computer would.

I think they are cool personally. It beats carrying around all these different forms of Id that I already have. They are hard to forge like drivers licenses too. I am sure the illegals wont like that much.

I feel that there can still be a terror attack even if we have another useless card. Plus the Real ID will have a microchip in it for tracking us.

This stuff scares me. Taking away our rights and privacy is the worst thing that g.w.b. has done. Eventually, the people are going to get tired of this ****.

What's to worry? It's not like Cheney has destroyed millions of e-mails.....He's calling the shots and I'm sure we can all trust him....right?

It's preparations in case there is any "revolt" against his dictatorship grab, OK? He's laying down all the tools he needs to isolate people now, ie. he's already at war against us.

Americans are now required to do as they're told. Where have you been? The Patriot Act has stripped you of all your rights!
