Did your parents ever say "Excuse my French" after they swore?

Mine did and it didn't do me any favours at primary school when the teacher asked if anybody knew a foreign language.

LOL, they did a couple of times, but mostly they just said "oh...ssssss-ugar!" - it was obvious what they WANTED to say!

It was my grandfather that taught us a load of Flemish obscenities before we left to go back to England. He said "now, say this to your mother when you're on the ferry..." or "say this if you hurt yourself" - my mum gave him a mouthful on the phone when we got back, but he just laughed!

Haha! And yeah mine did. We had to write about our Mum's in Primary school and I wrote about my mum always swearing and saying 'excuse my french' afterwards. When my mum saw my excersise book at the end of the year she nearly died of embaressment. Oops. Hehe.
