In "The Family Guy" opening theme song, what is Stewie's line?
I got in an argument the other day with a friend about the lyrics to the opening song. The big arguement was about Stewie's contribution. I know the real words are "laugh and cry." However, since it's Stewie, i hear the words, "F'in cry." So, which is it? what does Stewie sing, "Laugh and cry" or "F'in cry?"
wow, i'm getting quick response to this one. like is said, i know the actual lyrics are laugh and cry. i just don't hear the "laugh" coming out. is it because of his accent? that and my support is that it's stewie and it's mainly because of his personality that i say "F'in cry" like he's droppin the F-bomb.

There are 2 versions and in one he says "Effin' cry" and the other "Laugh and Cry"
I think it depends on what channel you watch the episodes on. I heard the Effin' Cry on Adult Swim and the other version is always played on TNT

heres the lyrics to " The Family Guy" theme song
It seems today
that all you see
is violence in movies and sex on tv
but where are those good ol' fasioned values
on which we used to rely
lucky theres a family guy
lucky theres a man who'll positively can do
all the things that make us
laugh and cry
he's a family guy
so the answer to your question is laugh and cry

Finally! Someone else who hears it too....I've been arguing with my boyfriend about this forever. I know he says laugh and cry, but it really sounds like he says f'ing. Personally, I think that's funnier, and it fits Stewie's character, so I'm just going to continue to stick to my version!

It's "Laugh and Cry". I heard it from Seth MacFarlane himself. I saw "Family Guy Live" and someone asked that exact question. He said it's "Laugh and Cry".
