When you both know it's over, why is it so difficult to say good-bye?

He hasn't loved me in over a year but, he refuses to end the relationship. I still love him but, the way he has been treating me is killing the feeling. It feels like he is rude to me so that I will get mad and throw him out. That way, he bears no responsibility in the break up. I need perspective because I cannot see past the pain right now.

well it can be hard but it sounds like both of u still care deeply for the other not saying that you always want to be with each other but u care enough to not want to see any harm with the other one. i think he might be trying to see how much you will take. some guys are like that or maybe he feels like that is the only way to get u to pay attention to him

Cause you can't hear anything over the gunfire. Saying 'goodbye' is just so civil, and when all you want to do is impress dummy of how screwed up he is, and how he just ignored all the hints, and small ways you tried to help his sorry butt, and all he did was drink and get po'd. Well after all that, saying goodbye is hard, it's easier to scream it.
