What would it be like if we lived with no metal? Elements like iron or zinc and the other metals?

Our entire internal physiology would have to be different. Blood contains iron, our bones contain calcium, zinc is essential for our immune system, etc.
Also, all metal objects would have to be replaced. No copper conductors, no metal jewellery, no conventional coins, cutlery, cooking utensils, food tins, even most of our houses would be stripped down (plumbing etc.).

Paul Anderson once wrote a Nicholas Van Rijn story where he and his crew were stranded on a light-element planet. Any metals available were were too light and reactive to be refined and used by the locals, anyway. One side plot mentioned a copper coin given to a local woman, who poisoned someone important with the shavings.
Some thought has been given to the thought that no metals are available to dolphins, who, because of the environment in which they find themselves, are non-technical, or at least not in that sense.

If you mean internally, we could not survive. Without iron, we could not oxygenate our cells. Without calcium, our skeletons would collapse. And we could go on and on with regard to all of the trace metals that we require, including zinc, copper, magnesium, sodium, plus many others.
If you mean externally, likewise we could not survive. All of our food supply depends on photosynthesis. And green plants require magnesium.

We would still be living like natives of old, in grass huts, that's for sure.
In reality, we can't live without them. Our body needs some of these minerals to exist.
