Bad Ankle Pain?

Weight- 116

Age- 14

Height- 5' 8''

Gender- Male

Ok, I started track a month ago. I was a distance runner last year and I did ok, but growing pain in my shins so it made it hard for me to keep up.

This year in track, I have been doing great...so far. I run sprints and distance and I jump to get in shape. All of this didn't affect me until just recently.

I thought that I was just having issues, myself, with growing pains in my ankles. Then I talked to the opposite gender 6 months younger then me and she said that she had pains there too. Sounds just like mine. My pains ONLY occur when I am running. They stick around a few minutes after that too.

She said that, like me, her ankles have just been starting to hurt in the past few days. They get worse every day. Some of my other friends have the same problems.

I dont think I am growing much more because my dad is only 5'9'' and nobody in my family is much taller then that.

If any1 has suggestions, tell me. I don like takin pills tho.

i am about the same height as u ( but a little bit fatter 125lb) and i had wat seems like the same pains as u have . It is called cevers deises it is when the growth plate in ur uper heal starts to puff up after running i no it gets real agravating. if u r in the middle of running and it starts to hurt either:

    1. if it does not hurt that bad and u no that u can keep going pace yourself

    2. if it hurts bad just stop and take a breather finishing a race is not as bad as having surgery on your ankle

from experience u half to do a lot of streches with the calf mucsuls.ice wee the pain is before and after u run

and try to go to a docter he will give u more info

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

Ice it and tilt it upwards when you sleep and if that doesn't help in 3-5 days get professional help.
