Mac Mini BYO Kbrd, mouse, & monitor?
Can I use any old regular monitor? as in the same types as wid windows pc's? or do the mac has its own hole for cables? thanks. i'm thinking of getting me one for 599, but want to use my own monitor and shiat.

Yes, you can use PC monitors on nowadays Mac. Infact, you could even use regular TV to hook it up to a Mac. However, you might need an adapter (available from Apple store).
Your own monitor should work fine with Mac. The same goes to your keyboard and mouse.
