responsilities of a power of attorney re: credit cards?
I have poa for my husband who is permanently disabled; he has a credit card which automatically deducts the minimum due from his personal checking account (he originally set this up himself). Can I send a letter along with a copy of the poa to this credit card company to stop them from removing this amount from his account? Am I responsible for this debt?

As POA, you should be able to stop the automatic deduction from the checking account. You should send a letter to the credit card company and a copy to the bank.
You personally are not responsible for the debts as POA but your husband is still responsible for paying those credit cards from his funds. If you stop paying them completely, they will start calling and could even sue. If they win a judgment, the creditor can easily attach that bank account.
