Its the residue left over from the other shampoo.

Before transitioning again try a cleansing shampoo that will clean off all the gunk built up in your hair.

You can find it at sally's beauty supplies or your hairstylist might know where to find a good brand.

Wash your conditioner out good... or just try using conditoner only on the ends of your hair not the top part.

when you straighten your hair, the hair follicles is much closer to the scalp. the natural oils from your scalp then spreads more oil to your hair strands.

-that is why straighter hair is more oilier than curly hair types.

i would suggest that when straightening your hair you do that a day after shampooing your hair. this makes straightening safer for your hair and makes it more shinier.

because you stripped all the natraul oils out and your hair still needs to get back to your own state
