hiya...got the same notification and tried to get a more definitive answer from customer care. This is what i received this morning:
Were making some changes that will affect Yahoo! profiles. After April
9, 2008, mature content will not be permitted within Yahoo! Profiles.
In
accordance with this new policy, users will no longer be able to
designate an "adult profile," and mature content will be removed. If
your profile is currently marked as "adult", your profile will remain
as
such until April 9, 2008.
i wasn't satisfied with the answer given so i'll be calling today. By the way..the picture on my profile..is one that i had drawn..2 people holding hands..only the hands are showing..yep thats 'adult'.
Until then, i'm saving all information and archived messages i want to keep as well as changing the 'adult' designation on my profile..not sure it will help but worth a try.
g'luck

I've already heard from four or five people who have received this email. I don't have a picture in my profile, even tho it's designated as "adult" - I wonder if that's why I haven't received the email yet?
