Fantastic Easter...thank you!
Well, my church held this big gathering at an amphitheatre, and it was like really crouded. The only thing that went wrong was the rain, it rained all weekend over here, but still, that didn't stop us.
I have a fantastic story to share, that just melted my heart away when the preacher told it. I'll just give you the short version:
So, it's World War II, and this lady, who was a jew, was running from the Gestapo. She arrived somewhere in France, where she saw this little house, and she knocked. This other lady, let's say her name is Margaret, opened the door and let her in. the Jew was terrified.
So, word was that the Gestapos where searching for her all over, and they were'nt going to give up untill they found her. They searched every house: The Jew told Margaret, "I'll just reveal myself and not cause you so much trouble. They'll find me anyways."
Margaret said "No, they will not. They will come looking for you, but you will be safe....give me all of your papers, and I'll trade in for mines."
The Jew did not understand what was happening...so after she's been convinced, she did what Margaret asked of her...And the Gestapos came and found Margaret and took her away...to concentration camps.
Margaret was a Christian, and the Jew knew that. It was maybe a year of so (maybe ten years...I forgot) And the Jew got news that Margaret did not make it back...She was terrified....And as a result, she dicided to become a Christian and accept Jesus, because she thought that Margaret had so much compassion and love, so she went to the source of her happyness.
Margaret was a true friend, and true follower of Jesus. She was a true martyr, and she taught us all a lesson...the same I hope you guys can learn from this.
God bless!
