I changed my name on the email, but when I send a message to anyone it's still the old name, why?

You have to change the "from line" setting----and not just your account info.

Mail page>>click options (top right)>>then scroll to and click on "general preferences".

At the top of that page, under *Names and Emails*----erase the old name from the From line and type in a new name, or whatever you want---------then click "save" at bottom of page.

?? Are you using the "New Mail" ??

Mail page>>options>>mail options>>accounts (side panel)>>add/edit an account>>Yahoo mail (side panel)>>edit>>general preferences-----and change it and save it.

hi,you need to go into your account and change the details there,don't forget to save the changes after you have finished.

i dont know either its doing that to me even like when i log on it says hey(my new name here)but then when i send a message to someone it says my old name!i was wonderin that to?????

Did you save it like that or maybe you put it in the wrong place.

on some emails it doesnt matter what you call yourself, others see you as what they named you.

i dont remember which kind, but i had an email address before that let others choose what to name me instead of what i named myself

I would like to know that too! I've been having difficulty with that!
