Song suggestions for school talent show?
I am a Soprano, and I can't exactly read music, but I know I can sing pretty high. Im willing to sing this song in my chest voice or head voice.
Do you any suggestions for some pretty songs? No one at my my school really knows I can sing, so I want to prove em wrong. I was going to sing "My heart will go on" by Celine Dion from Titanic, but some other girl took it.
I really need an amazing song that fits me. Please help!
Requirments for song. :
-- Nothing rockish or anything like that. I want a classic song (not like opera or anything but just you know.. a normal song)
Song names would be great :)
And also, I would rather have songs that people know -- like by artists that are good. (common)
I don't want to do any Miley songs. I want a more mature artist (mostly b/c ppl will make fun of me if i do her songs, but i kinda want a deep song, or idk -- a classic artist/song)

Do something upbeat! Maybe some One Direction?! If you're going to do a slow song, pick a song that everyone knows and could sing along to. Like Stay by Rihanna. Some songs I suggest is... Just Give Me A Reason-Pink, When I Was Your Man-Bruno Mars, any one direction song. 22-Taylor Swift Heart Attack-Demi Lavato, The Way-Ariana Grande, some good old songs! The Beatles?! Abba, Queen, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, and maybe Michael Jackson! Also Justin Bieber. I'm sure lots of people will enjoy that.

just listen to the radio for inspiration. A great song I like is Why Can't I by liz Phair. Try anything by Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood songs normally have a great range in them. Try Whiskey Lullaby. You do not have to go with something classic. Sometimes the best songs are wear you can get the audience to sing, clap, or dance along.

Jesus Take the Wheel is a gret song if you can belt and are looking to impress someone with your voice.
Also, Part of the heart of the sky, it isnt popular, but if you can find it on youtube or something, its very pretty.
I got the Sun in the Morning and the Moon at Night is also a good song and has some nice notes that is easy to rock at.

anything coldplay is soft and nice... dont sing celine dion... they might throw tomatoes... i would lol jk. Seriously, even though Mariah Carey is annoying, hero is a good song

What about I miss You by Miley Cyrus its a great song for you to sing if u can really sing! It wud b perfect!
