University of San Francisco?

it's a potential top choice but i've never been there :/

i was hoping you could give me a bit (okay A LOT) of info on what life there is like and especially what you think of the school.

i'm planning on majoring in communications.

thank you :]

Update:

oh well i'm planning on visiting it before i make my decision but some outside opinion is always helpful =]

It's a real urban area, but near Goden Gate Park. A lot of public transportation. You will have the time of your life as a student in San Fran!

I went there for about a year and hated it, but thats just my opinion. Its very, very expensive, but if you have the money go for it. San Francisco is a beautiful, multicultural city with plenty of stuff to do and its centrally located, which is nice. I never did stuff on campus. It always seemed pretty dead compared to St. Lawrence where I went originally. The city itself is honestly a blast though and had the time of my life while living there for 2 years. Its not a great college if your a science person, which I was. It has a good communications program. It has a good teaching program also, which goes along with most liberal arta colleges. I came here as a transfer student from my original school for being expelled, but thats a whole other chapter. Another thing is if your a girl and wanna meet guys its not the place for you, but a lot of schools are getting like that. Its like a 7:1 girl to guy ratio. Almost every one of my classes was all women and there would be like 4 guys in there. I personally was in heaven because there were lots and lots of beautiful women there and the guys that were there were pretty lame. Overall its a great University and for your particular interest would make it a good choice. The important thing is knowing what you want to do when you get out and if it makes you happy, which is what its all about.

On http://www.college-scholarships.com/ten_rules_for_... you can read an article about selecting a college. You should note that rule #1 is that you should never make a college choice without first visiting your first 2 or 3 choices.

Do not rely on the opinions of others. Make your visits.
