Can I take my own bottled water in suitcase?

We are going to Mexico and I don't want to pay the high prices for bottled water at the resort. Can I bring my own in my luggage that I check at the airport?

Bottled water is not expensive, but it is heavy...you may go over your wt. limit for bags....how much are you going to save? Even if you buy several bottles..it would only be a few dollars.. And you could buy water at little stores instead of at the resort. Hotels always put a fresh bottle in your room every day ( complimentary ) for brushing your teeth and for drinking in your room. you can bring it, just seems unecessary.

In checked luggage, no problem. You just can't take it on the plane with you in your hand luggage.

I don't know if you can take it because when I went there the people were not allowed to bring any liquids because of bomb incidents. Hope this helps.
