I'm a sour patch addict (my friend gave me the nickname) I eat like a pack a day. I'm obsessed with them and have cravings for them all the time. It's actually common if you eat a lot of them at one time. So yeah you should feel this way,it's natural.

You might not be getting enough vitamin C in your diet. Citric acid is what gives sour candy (like sour patch kids) the strong sour flavor, and if you don't have very much in your body, you can go into "citrus shock" when you suddenly overwhelm it with citric acid. That 'shock' can be anything from sore gums/tongue to sweating.

If that's not the case, you might just have a unique reaction to sour candy. Whenever I eat Nerds or any kind of sour candy, I break out in a sweat just on my forehead, and I've never been able to figure out why. We're just weird! =)

Maybe you have cavities or gingivitis. Brush your teeth 2 - 3 times a day and use mouth wash twice daily.
