LeBron racially controversial cover?

Headline on Yahoo news this morning. Is anyone else just fed up to "here" with all this race baiting going on? They're saying that LeBron was made to look like an ape and Giselle as the damsel that King Kong captured. Isn't it racist just coming up with that comparison?

At this rate, maybe we need to go back to matching white people with white people and black people with black people just so we don't "offend" anybody. That'd really solve racism, wouldn't it? It hearkens back to segregation, but this time, as a way to not offend sensitive blacks, rather than the original reason (which was not to offend racist whites).

I feel like we're taking two steps back on this issue. What say you?

Update:

Maybe I should correct that statement and say "not to offend sensitive whites who THINK they are being sensitive to blacks" since I don't know the race of whomever it was that started the broo-ha-ha in the first place.

I'm fed up. It's like everywhere you look someone is screaming racism and thats why we as a society can't move forward because people are making a small thing into this crazy, out of control situation. Like I could understand if LeBron had a black panther jacket on and had Giselle in a headlock, but it didn't. It showed to young people having fun. What is wrong with that? I wish the few sensitive people would shut the hell up and move on and quit making everyine so damn miserable

I just asked a question about the same thing. Its a shame that the first thing I have to read is about a man being portrayed as an ape. Its a shame, but some things just don't change.

Yes I read it and looked at the cover picture. I thought it was nice - didn't get the King Kong look at all. Thought it was a good picture of both of them. I did not catch any racial overtones in it myself.
