Yet another great question, Steve. (Damn, you're good at these!) I'll start with the negative first, and get it out of the way... Negative: I went to a private Christian school for 10 years (K - JH), throughout which time I was bullied (verbally) every single day by a particular group of girls. They jeered me for my weight, my glasses, my flat feet (fallen arches), and anything else they could find to bully me about. I finally left the school after the 9th grade, but the damage had already been done - my self-confidence and my sense of self-worth had been shattered. To this day, they're still not what they should be. Positive: My awesome hubby tells me all the time how beautiful and sexy I am to him, what an incredible woman - and wife - I am. Like I said above, my self-confidence and sense of self-worth still aren't what they should be - but they're far better than they were 30 years ago, and slowly but steadily improving.

No, that's actually a GREAT statement. Life isn't permanent so we might as well enjoy it to the fullest while we have it.

I have a similar saying as my signature in email. It states, "Live each day to the fullest 'cause, let's face it, we're not getting out of it alive."

Yes it would affect me, it would make me decide to enjoy life more. Someone said to me the other day, smile this is not a rehearsal. It made me realise it is not. This is it so enjoy.

I get depressed when I think about death but then I realize that since this is all I have,I could go through it upset & cranky or make the best of it

No my love. There's one thing we are all sure about in this life, and its that we're gonna snuff it at some point!
