Can a power cord on a Roto zip saw be replaced?

My dog chewed through my husbands brand new Roto Zip saw's power cord. Can the cord be fixed or replaced?

Sure. Any power cord can be repaired. It's just a matter of re-connecting the broken wires and insulating them so that they don't touch any other wires. This can be accomplished using wire nuts and common electrical tape.

Another option would be to take the saw apart and see where the wires connect to the motor. There may be an easy way to disconnect them and install a new power cord that you could probably find at lowes or home depot.

Third option would be to contact the manufacturer and see if they have a replacement cord or what they reccomend. www.rotozip.com

An easy way (and safe) is to just cut the cord where it is chewed and install a new plug. If this leaves the cord too short, then go to http://www.rotozip.com/GetSupport/Contact to write directly to RotoZip and ask your question. They probably sell parts.

Yes take it to the place you bought it or to a machinery hire shop. They will also sharpen the blade if you wish.
