Does (3x^2)=(3)(x^2) or (3x)^2?

    3x^2 = (3)(x^2).......The 2 is related to the x only.

    its the middle one, the 3x^2 means that the x is squared not the three

    (3x^2) = (3)(x^2).

    (3x)^2 = 9x^2

    (3x^2)=(3)(x^2)

    (3)(x^2)=3*x^2=3x^2

    (3x)^2=3x*3x=9x^2
