The GMAT is only required for business schools. Most graduate programs require the GRE.

There are lots of Business Schools that do not require the GMAT -- however, all of the good ones require it. It is not worth getting an MBA from a school that is not highly regarded -- and if you have a high undergraduate GPA, you would be foolish to go to an MBA program that is not highly regarded.

In short -- going to an MBA program that does not require the GMAT will probably cost you between $40K-$60K per year when you get out.
