I'm looking for a good Skeet gun?
Not just a shotgun, but a competition skeet gun. I really need to keep costs low though. Any good brands?

The thing too do is just go to a gun retailer and handle several different brands. Which ever one feels comfortable to you and that you like is probably the best for you. This is a question you can ask 100 different shooters and get 100 different guns, no one is wrong, they just like the one they shoot because it fits them the best.
I am more of a Trap shooter than a skeet shooter, but for skeet I like to use an automatic shotgun with a 28" or 30" barrel. I prefer either the Browning Gold or the Beretta 391. I have used a Remington 1100 and it is a cheaper shotgun than the other two, but I just prefer the feel of the Browning. I have shot with several guys who use an over and under, such as the Browning Citori or the Browning XS.

I have had a Remington 1100 w/skeet barrel that has served me well for over 35 years. The only thing that I have had to replace is the little gas rubber "O" ring every couple of years. There are a lot of good shotguns out there, but even a even a moderately priced gun will last you a lifetime if properly cared for. Hope you find something you like.
