Have you ever gotten a detention?

A 2 hour detention is done stupidity. I propose I even have had detentions previously and it has on no account ever as quickly as made me repent what I did or made me replace my techniques considering then. If I have been given a detention for lacking homework, it won't make me do homework from then on consistently. i think of detentions are purely stupid and pointless, a utter waste of yours and not forgetting, the lecturers time!

Does this count as detention?

When I was at school, the teacher had left the room so I asked the lass next to me how to do a maths problem, She started to explain when the teacher came back. She asked who had been talking and as Mary replied first, she was excused. I was called out, bent over the teacher's desk and caned six times on the upper thigh of each leg. Heaven knows what caused her to be so severe but I wished her dead.

it depends on what school you go to and their punishment policy, but most of the time you just sit in a room for an hour or so and that supposively "teaches you a lesson". detention isn't bad, it's just boring!

Only once. We sorted out papers ans just sat quietly for like 2-3 hrs. I was so bored afterwards.

Do you want to go back to the sixties? I was the queen of detentions! My best friend and I would skip school so much..............we couldn't get our high school diploma's until we cleaned every locker in our high school....and it was three stories.............It took us three six hour days to clean them....................but at the end of that time....we had more secret love letters...........and jock straps ............then you could shake a stick at!..............its something I will never forget..............oh...by the way..............I still have the same best friend.......we met in sixth grade....................and now we are in our late 50's...........................we could write you one down and dirty book.......................lol

yes, but it was just an afterschool detention with a teacher because i forgot to bring my homework in that day..she was strict ;)

no,but i got a work detail and had 2 clean the girls bathrooms,scrape gum off the bottom of the tables,and pick up trash around the school or else they would tell my parents

I did when I was younger and we just sat in a room and had to be quiet for like an hour. Very boring so I just drew pictures. :)
