I'll give you horses. To properly care of a horse should cost around 2000 a year overall for minimal care, not including vet emergencies, for each horse.
Remember not to house these animals together at once, as they will injure each other.
This does not include fencing (hot tape for the horses, chicken wire, and pipe fencing) , shelter, and other various needs. Do not use barbed wire for your horses by any means!
Acreage will be dependent on the area you plan to have a ranch in. Do not get over your head, as it sounds like you do not need 5 horses for 4 cows and a bull. 2 at most. Fencing supplies can be found at local stores or on the internet.

haha... ok sorry.... ya ALOT of money considering (depending on where you are) each horse costs anywhere between 1000 and 20,000 dollars. Plus tack is about $500 a horse. Ranchs are SUPER expensive.... ya and I'm not even going to continue with the rest... but my advice is get a VERY HIGH paying job :).... don't just plan on marrying rich or something because the chances of that happening are minimal and you don't want to screw yourself over by going into debt that you can't get out of...
PS: have you ever even lived on a ranch before?
