Am I a horrible friend?? Should I be feeling this guilty?

Me and my friend went town yesterday, I had a piercing on the top of my ear. My mate has this terrible fear of needles, but I convinced him to have the lobe pierced lol, the he turns round and asks me which side is the gay side, and I said to do it on the right (the gay side) lol, so now he's walking around with a stud in his right ear, am I a bad friend and should I be feeling this guilty, and what should I do?

Update:

Just for clarification, he's straight and 15, he should of had his left one done, but I told him to have his right one done (on purpose lol)

Update 2:

People don't worry, soon as I tell him, which I will lol, i'll pay him to have his other one done, and reemburse him for the other one lol.

Update 3:

OMG Travis you're so right, but i'm bi anyway,

I like the april fools bit lol

Update 4:

He can take a bit of a joke...

That was not nice. And asking should you feel guilty means that yes you should. I think it would only be fair if you offered to have his other ear pierced or at least reimburse him for the one he did have done so he can let it grow closed and heal.

Source(s): Don't forget to tell him "Aprils Fools" then maybe he'll take it as a joke.

That's funny man. I can see your friend gettin hit on by guys and wondering WTF.

He's probably pissed tho. As a good friend I would offer to pay for gettin his other ear pierced to match the gay side one. There are guys who have both sides done.

You ain't a bad friend, just a prankster. But like most pranks this can backfire on you. If you are ever out and about with your friend with the gay earlobe, they will think you are his gay partner....ever think of that?

There isn't a gay side, which ever side you pierce people say 'its the gay side'

Earrings on guys are lame in my opinion anyway, and i'm sure that if he reeeeally didn't want it he wouldn't have gotten it, don't worry he won't blame you. He'll hopefully see the funny side and anyway if he doesn't he's a cry baby!

  • Isn't it more gay to have the top of your ear pierced? Seriously though, that was very mean & childish of you. Some friend you are!

well at teh time you thought it was funny... i would probably done teh same thing for a laugh... but you have to tell him and it has to come from you because if some one else tells him he'll be pretty pissed off and angry at you but if he's a true friend he'll forgive you.. im not saying that he wont be a bit angry, but he will forgive you if he's a true friend

That was a pretty mean joke. I would apologize and offer to pay to have it re-done.

Not to be mean, but I wouldn't want a friend like you. You need to be able to trust your friends.

Tell him the truth. And think twice before making such jokes. You can really hurt people feelings with "practical" jokes.

That was kind of mean, I don't know I guess it depends how well he can take a joke but personally I would have been pissed off.
