I am not a numbers person but I have been absorbed into a family business...?

I need to educate myself. Do I need bookkeeping or accounting classes? Nobody else feels like they can rock the boat, and I can't just hire somebody. I need to be able to take over the work. Any ideas? Spreadsheets, aging, all accounts are done pencil and paper. I have very minimal computer experience...email and a little online ordering.

i would say take the accounting class first this way you learn about all the necessary stuff you need to figure out taxes and all that kind of stuff and then take the book keeping one later
