is there anything wrong with falling in love with people on the internet?

Why does it make a difference WHERE you meet people? I know I love you and a lot of my contacts, so what love is love

No problem whatesoever, although there are some who feel they're in Love as opposed to having crushes.

I, in fact do have a crush on here and one or two people know this.

At the end of the day we're all different, some would believe in Love over the internet others would take a more skeptical viewpoint.

There are many things wrong with it, because it can danger your life, but other than that no.. if you meet this guy then take friends with you, like a double date or somthing, don't meet him by yourself. I met my boyfriend I am dating right now through myspace, and it will be 11 months for us on the 4th, let me tell you, he is the most amazing guy I have ever met and we are both in love with each other.

I think it causes more problems that good. All I've learned is that it causes people to turn from nice, mature people who can sort their own problems out in private to whining little fools, who can't even make a sandwhich without telling the world about it xD

as long as it is just on the Internet I don't see anything wrong with it. Only thing, these long time Internet associations sometimes end up with a real life meeting. That is when you have to be careful. :)

I think there is no universal answer here. I fell in love with my future wife on the Internet, moved to her country and later married her. Now we have two kids and are pretty much happy in our marriage.

The only problem is that you do not really know them. They could tell you anything and you'd have no way of proving them false. They could be coldblooded killers and you would know until it is too late.

as long as you find out who this person is. one of my best friends met a guy on my space. been together 6 years and are getting married. sometimes, you grow strong bonds with people on line/long distance because you really get to know the person... rather than all the sexual tension getting in the way. you just have to watch out and make sure who you are talking to is truly who they say they are.

It's always easiest to fall in love with someone you like. There are some very likable people here. In other words, you're normal.

I don't think so. I've just made it a point if I;m going to fall in love over the net, it will be with local people.

No. My brother met his wife on the Internet. She was a wonderful, loving, exuberant person whose life was tragically cut short. I had never seen my brother so happy as when he was with her.
