Is rock n roll dead?

Most people in my school like rap or pop.

Most of the people in my school don't even know who Guns n Roses is!

Star if you love Rock n Roll.

Update:

In the words of AC/DC "Rock n Roll Ain't Noise Pollution,Rock n Roll Ain't Gonna Die!!!"

well if you really think about it, yeah it actually is =[

because you dont hear any good rock bands these days. Seems like just about all of them suck.

Back in the good days, like 80's and stuff, thats the good stuff!

And yeah, hardly anyone at my school hasent heard of Guns N Roses cuz they're so caught up in their so called music "rap". Its not even music its noise!

even though some of the greatest rock n roll artists have since passed (god rest their souls) doesn't mean the rock n roll is dead it will always live on because people want to listen to the song that they heard when they first got their license, or on their first date, great cruising songs and such. i love old rock n roll music for being a 20year old and so does my little cousins who are 14 and 17

Rock and Roll is not dead. I never will be. I guarantee that if you look into some of the bands people talk about on Y!A, you will find current bands that you will like. There is a lot of crap put there but there always has been.

No dude, I am always rockin rollin in ma house! I personally would rather rock than a whole bunch of men calling women the b word with a whole bunch of women shaking their behinds on the camera for the whole world to see and degrading other women. I love Guns and Roses! They are cooooooool!

    nice quote my friend.

rock n roll is alive and well in my opinion. eventually people will realize that most other kinds of music is all the same and just disapointing. for example rap, is all about women, big rims, and money. the newer rock, or sorry excuse for rock is all about how crappy their lives are.

me and many of my friends at my highschool have realized that rock n roll has so much feeling in it, and it paved the way for all the music we listin to today, it will never die.

  • I love Classic Rock and 50's rock.

As the Stones said " I know, it's only rock n roll, but I like it!"

    :o)

If anything, alot of the "new" Rn'R is-all the best Rn'R is from the 60's, 70's & the 80's have the best "metal", but I agree, rap sucks-if anything, some 80's rap/original rap bands are good like Run D.M.C., & 2 Live Crew but all this new rap gives me a headache.

    Tool

    The White Stripes

    The Mars Volta

Coheed and Cambria (I will admit Claudio voice is whiney)

    Isis

    Queens of The Stone Age

    The Bravery

Hey, as long as Iron Maiden is touring the world playing old school songs and selling out stadiums I say rock 'n roll is still alive and well.
