Polls, schmolls. For the most part polls are bs, because they poll like 1000-4000 people which is not really a good representative sample given the fact that 122 Million voted in the 2004 Pres. election and DRAMATICALLY more will likely vote in 2008. Also, it is hard for the Democrats to poll very well when no one knows for certain who the nominee will be. Pretty much all the political experts believe that, based on the issues, the Dems will win easily this year - unless they completely steal defeat from the jaws of victory, which they could certainly do (See 2000, 2004 Pres. Elections).

Polls are pointless because they are only made up to help perswade you to vote in the direction they want you to. 1000 people plus or minus three percent is not a Pole! Any time you see a pole please read the fine print down below that tells you how many people they poled. If for one min you think they are correct in the pole they did, just understand that they pole the area that supports Repulicans. Now if I poled 1000 dem that all support Obama then you would understand better.

I am not saying I support anybody, just letting you know that you need to read the fine print before you go off and ally youself with a pole!

Its a temporary thing. Obama will give more flowery speeches and rhetoric and will fool enough people to become the 44th POTUS. (Havent we seen this in past few weeks?) I dont think anything can stop this from happening (barring a major debacle or scandal. )McCain has a really tough task ahead of him, but i dont think he can make it. I think a majority of americans are so disillusioned by the current administration that they will vote for a smooth talker, even if he is not fit for the job.

    Good and smart question.

McCain is polling ahead of both because we have 3 candidates with 3 different supporters. when the Democrats have their nominee the polling will show a different lead.

John McCain is a fraud. In order to secure a bank loan, he promised the bank that - even if he was failing in the primaries - he’d stay in it long enough to collect enough public financing to pay back the private loan. He is still in debt, and he won't win this race no matter what, it is all about paying back a loan.

Polls flip flop from day to day, from comment to comment, and from one scandal to another.

Bill Clinton, according to the polls, was in third place, even behind Perot, but in June of 1992, he won the nomination, even though the polls said that he wouldn't. So much for polls.

Right now he's ahead because there are a lot of people on Obama's side who say they'll NEVER vote for Hillary and a lot on Hillary's side who say they'll NEVER vote for Obama. I think most of them will realize that either candidate is better than McCain. I think that this is a variable that distorts the results of the polls.

"polls dont matter" is most likey going to be an easier.

Thats partly true not everyone votes in it. and it could change again.
